At 11:55 pm today, 31 December (AEDT) MATE Computing will be broadcasting a live video stream of the NYE Fireworks on Sydney Harbour from the 1902 Steam Tug Waratah.  We will be in the exclusion zone close to the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House

Today (31 December) the 1902 Steam Tug Waratah and many of the other historical vessels operated by Sydney Heritage Fleet will be featured in the annual NYE celebrations on Sydney Harbour.  We will occupy prime positions within the exclusion zone for both the 9 pm and midnight firework displays and between the two sessions will be featuring in the parade of vessels around the harbour. 

A test broadcast will occur at 9 pm and the Main Event will kick off at 11:55 pm in time for the countdown to 2013 and what is arguably one of the finest annual firework displays in the world coming to you from one of the finest harbours in the world.

Charles Smith joins MATE Computing to expand the team in the Hunter Region

Charles Smith, a Wollombi resident, has just been appointed as a MATE at MATE Computing.  Charles is well known in the district as a provider of quality, affordable IT Support Services to Small Business Owners and Home Users in the district for several years.

Charles will become a provider of support services to our customers in the Hunter Region expanding the availability and responsiveness of our services to meet customer needs in The Hunter.

Buy Local Festival 2012

MATE Computing would like to thank all those businesses and consumers who visited us at the recent Buy Local Festival. 

Our thanks also go to the organisers, B2B With a Twist.  Lyn and the entire team put on a great event that enabled small businesses across the Central Coast and Newcastle/Hunter Regions to showcase their products and services to an estimated 20,000 visitors who attended the festival over the two days.

Before the comments flood in, yes we have noticed that our group of 10 winners consists of 11 entries.  At the last minute MATE Computing decided to draw a lucky bonus winner.  We do not remember which small business the lucky last was drawn out in 11th place!
